MACD is an IT engineering company with a worldwide customer base in the financial sector and has been successfully implementing IT projects for financial institutions for over 20 years.

With our products in the field of stock exchange trading - in particular trading services, exchange and broker connectivity - we are the market leader in Switzerland. More than 60 banks and exchanges across Europe rely on our services in the areas of software development, project management, consulting, hosting and support.

At our locations in England, Germany and Switzerland, around 40 IT engineers, business IT specialists and economists work on innovative and challenging solutions.

We develop our software in an agile way using KANBAN, XP and Continuous Delivery. Thus, every developer is involved in all development steps, from requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing and deployment.

As a Web Developer in our Software Engineering Team you will work on the following topics:

• Analysis and debugging
• Software testing
• Analyse and solve software issues
• Develop Java services with Glassfish and SpringBoot
• Develop automated deployment on Proxmox or Kubernetes container
• Develop automated tests
• Develop server modules with Node.js and TypeScript
• Develop clients with Angular or Vue.js for trading and monitoring
• Design mockups and prototypes and discuss them with customers
• Second-Level Support, online and by telephone
• Collaboration in project teams

You will communicate directly with our international customers and collaborate very closely with our Technical Account Management Team.

• You have a Bachelor's degree, a Master's degree or a comparable training in computer science.
• You are well experienced with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• You like to work in a team and are willing to gradually take on more responsibility.
• You love learning new things and are looking for the challenge.
• You master the English and German language in speech and writing.
• Desirable Experiences: Development of large web applications using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and experiences in Java development.
