System Administrator / System Engineer

At the locations in England, Germany and Switzerland work around 40 IT engineers, computer scientists and economists on innovative solutions.

Your Tasks

As an experienced System Administrator with a focus on Linux, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • The control and planning of IT projects as well as customer connections  
  • Configuration and regular maintenance of the MACD hosted infrastructure
  • Ensuring and developing IT security guidelines
  • Automation of the MACD infrastructure using Ansible and Pulsway

Technologies such as GitLab, CheckMK, LXC, Docker, KVM, Proxmox and PfSense await you. With your expertise in system administration, you will also support our software and application engineers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Training as an IT specialist (specialising in application development or system integration) or IT qualifications
  • Very good knowledge in Linux system administration (preferably Debian)
  • Knowledge in the following areas:
    • Script languages Bash or Python
    • Ansible
    • Windows system administration (MCP)
  • Experience in the following areas:
    • IT Security
    • Network administration
    • Firewall administration
  • Structured way of working
  • Analytical and autodidactic skills
  • Pleasure to work in a team
  • Good written and oral expression in German and English
