GEORGE MACDONALD
George started working in financial markets in 1989 after graduating from Manchester University with a degree in Computer Science. Initially working in Germany and the Netherlands, he joined Macdonald Associates in 1992, returning to the UK for a few years before expanding the company abroad in 1995.
In 1996 he moved to Switzerland to work as a consultant at SWX Swiss Exchange, which was in the process of moving from ring trading to a fully electronic system.
During his time at Macdonald Associates he has worked on a wide range of customer projects for major banks and stock exchanges in the areas of FX, equity, derivatives and fixed income.
Still based in Switzerland, he provides both consultancy to customers and support for the company's product range.
He is co-chair of the FPL Global Fixed Income Committee and a member of the EMEA Governence Board.
